Mixed Media Art Making Invisible Pain Visible

Kel Jordan is an abstract artist whose work embraces chaos and movement while bridging the world’s of chronic pain with God’s beauty: at times a mix of raw pain and frustration in abstracts, at other times embracing hope or melancholy in her landscape and wildlife art. Her work is a way to process her own pain, while making invisible pain visible through colorful pieces, inviting viewers to connect and find their own story in the art. Based in Ventura, California, Kel’s life and art are deeply inspired by the desert, beach and Southwest lifestyle which is seen as she blends warm and earthy tones with chaotic brush strokes.

Summer Collection Sneak Peak
Flow + Resistance is coming soon to the Ventura County Fair. Just how the flow of the city is seen in a map, so does a doctor use MAP to determine the flow and resistance of our blood flow. These textured abstract pieces take my love of maps and infuse my own struggle with MS + PoTS and the constant need to monitor my blood pressure. Each piece is an abstract version of a city seen from Google Earth filled with my signature pain infused brush strokes.
